How long has Marvel Garage Solutions been in business?
We have enjoyed organizing people’s garages since 2012.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are insured and bonded.
Are your installers subcontracted or employees?
All of our installers are employees that have been trained through our company for a professional experience.
Do you charge for in-home estimates?
We don’t charge for in-home estimates. We can often times discuss the storage needs over the phone or through email to determine if an in-home consultation is necessary. For cabinet layouts and larger custom solutions we’ll come out to show you the variety of options we offer and design your layout together.
Do you have a showroom?
We don’t have a showroom. Every garage is different and each person has their own needs. We like to come out to see the garage in person and hear about how you’d like to store and arrange your items. We’ll bring samples and design the layout that will best fit your needs.
Do you have a minimum dollar amount to come out and perform installations?
Our minimum job is about $500. If you’re willing to be flexible with your installation timing we may be able to accommodate smaller projects.
My garage is a mess, do I have to move everything for your team to install?
For shelving and ceiling racks, we ask for a clearance of 3′ to 4′ away from the walls we are going to be working on. Our installers will be happy to assist with moving any heavy items out of the way. For flooring installation the floor surface must be cleared.
Can I purchase products from you and install on my own?
We only sell products that we install. Our team will professionally install the system in a quick and efficient manner to ensure a long-lasting storage system.
Will you come and remove my storage items and reinstall in a new home?
Our designs are typically a custom solution for each garage. It’s best to get a new system to match your new garage.
What makes Marvel Garage Solutions different than the other garage enhancement companies?

Garage Cabinets
What are your garage cabinets made of?
Our garage cabinets are made of furniture-grade 3/4″ and 1″ melamine, which is a high-quality dense particle board with a heat-fused factory-applied laminate finish.
Why are the garage cabinets mounted up off the floor?
Cabinets are mounted off the floor to allow for easy cleaning and to make sure any moisture, insects, mice, dirt, or debris on the garage floor stays away from the cabinets.
Do all of your garage cabients have full backs?
Our Signature Series Garage Cabinets feature full backs. The Classic Series Garage Cabinets do not.
Do you recommend full backs on garage cabinets?
Yes, full backs on garage cabinets provide greater strength and will keep your items cleaner and hide imperfections on your garage walls.
Do you provide custom sizes if needed on your garage cabinets?
Our Signature Series Garage Cabinets can have custom widths in 1″ increments. The maximum depth is 24″.
What about plugs and light switches, do they get covered up by the garage cabinets?
Our installers will modify the backs of the cabinets so the plugs and switches are accessible.
Are your garage cabinets made in North America?
All of our cabinets are made in the USA from American-made materials.
Some competitors promote more hinges on their garage cabinets than you. Why?
Our hinges are heavier duty than our competitors and therefore require less hinges. We use top-quality 6-way adjustable soft close hinges on our Signature Series Garage Cabinets.
Garage Flooring
How soon can I get back into the garage once the garage floor coating is completed?
It’s best to allow the flooring to cure for 24 hours before you park your car or move heavy objects back into the garage.
Does everything have to be out of the garage during the garage floor coating installation?
Yes, everything that is touching the concrete has to remain out of the garage during the installation and curing process.
My home is new, do my floors still need to be prepped, as I would like to save some money and not have it prepped?
We diamond block grind all floors, whether they are new or old to ensure a proper adhesion.
One of your competitors told me that it takes up to three days to do a garage floor.
We use materials that cure quicker and last longer so you can get back to enjoying your garage sooner.
Do you cover the side walls with the garage floor coating?
We cover sidewalls and concrete steps with our floor coating.
Does your garage floor coating cover the area outside the garage door where it meets the driveway?
The stopping point for your flooring is up to you. Some customers prefer not to see the coating on the outside of the garage door, while others like it to come out and meet the driveway.
What if I drop something and I damage the new garage floor coating?
The floor is very tough, but this can happen. In most cases, we can fix this for free when we are close by, provided that you accommodate our schedule. Otherwise, when we fix your floor there can be a nominal charge.
How do you recommend we clean our new floor?
You can use a hose to wash it out or use a mop with soap to clean the floors. Remaining water should be wiped up to prevent slipping.
Garage Shelving
What is better, wall-mounted garage shelving or overhead ceiling racks?
Wall-mounted shelving products are the best storage solutions for your garage because they solve two storage problems. Long-term storage that is up and out of the way and short-term items that you need to access more often. Overhead ceiling racks are generally used as a secondary storage option over the garage door.
What is the weight capacity of your garage shelving?
1,000 lbs per 4 feet.
Do you recommend wired grid shelving or solid surface garage shelving?
Solid surface shelving like Monkey Bars is the best option for several reasons. Solid surfaces allow you to store smaller items in addition to larger boxes and totes. Wire grid is limited and is suited only for larger objects. Solid surface is also easier to clean.
Will wall shelving interfere with our vehicles?
No. Our installers will ensure the height of the shelf will accommodate the items needed to store above and be out of the way for easy access to your vehicle.
What if I need more hooks to hang items from the Monkey Bars System?
You can simply send us an email with the type and quantity you need and we will drop them off. Or we can arrange a time to meet and we will help assist you with hanging your items.
Overhead Ceiling Racks
How are the overhead ceiling racks secured to the ceiling?
Ceiling racks are secured by using 3″ lag bolts that go into your ceiling joists.
How many connections are there to the ceiling per ceiling rack?
There are 8 connections to the ceiling, per rack.
How many joists is the overhead ceiling rack mounted on?
Depending on the orientation of the rack and layout of ceiling joists, it can be 4-6 joists.
How low can the overhead ceiling racks come down fromthe ceiling?
We can adjust the height from 26″ to 44″.
Do your overhead rack platforms have a safety lip?
There is a 2″ safety lip to secure your items.
Can your overhead ceiling racks be mounted to walls?
Yes, we can mount 1 or 2 sides to the wall.
If I want my overhead ceiling racks over my garage door, how much clearance do I need?
26″ to 44″ is ideal but we can customize the rack for areas that have less than 26″.
Will the overhead racks bow in the middle with weight?
No, our racks are strong enough to hold 750lbs.
How large can you make a single overhead storage rack?
Our racks come in 4’x8′ but we can join them together for a continuous storage plan.
What if the ceiling joists are engineered joists?
If they are engineered joists, there is not sufficient material to secure the ceiling racks to the ceiling. We recommend Monkey Bars Wall Mounted Inverted Shelves as an alternative for storage over the garage door.
PVC Slatwall
Is your slat wall similar to what retail stores use for displays?
It is the same concept but very different. Our slatwall is made of PVC extruded plastic. It can be cleaned with water and won’t be damaged like MDF sltawall. It also has a much higher weight capacity.
Is the finish on the slat wall painted on?
No, it is part of the plastic pellets before the product is extruded. The color is all the way through and can’t be scratched off.
Does slat wall protect my garage walls?
Yes, it protects them like no other garage product. Bike tires, dirty yard tools, kids’ toys, etc will not mark it. Dirt is easily wiped off with a rag.
What do you do about the seams and cut edges on the slat wall?
We use moldings to cover all seams and sharp cur edges.
Does the slat wall cover plugs, switches, electrical panels, etc.?
We cut the slatwall to accommodate all plugs and switches. We then remount the face plates over the top. We cut around and remount some items on top of the way slatwall, such as sprinkler boxes.
What accessories fit your slat wall?
Our sltawall sizing is 3″ on center and very standard. We stock a wide variety of accessories, but any 3″ on center accessory will fit the system, which is one of it’s best features.
Do you stock all slat wall colors?
We stock Grey, Taupe, Light Maple, Black and White. All others are available for special order with minimum order requirements.
How is the slat wall mounted to the wall?
Color-matched screws are used to secure the slatwall into wall studs horizonatlly and every 12″ vertically. This makes the attachment very strong.
